Educational Treks for Schools

The emotion of being able to touch and study skins, furs, skulls, eggs and tusks gives them the opportunity of multi sensorial experiences unknown even in text books. An experience which enables these youngsters to learn and get to know and love nature.)


S.O.S ANIMALS FROM OUR HOME

Activity promoted in occasion of the 2008/2010 EAZA campaign in favour of the safeguarding of European Carnivors. We believe that animals that are in danger of becoming extinct live in faraway places, in reality, in Italy and in the majority of Europe, the Bear, the Lynx and the Wolf are becoming extinct. Poaching and changes in nature are some of the causes that threaten their survival today. With an expert on European Wilderness we learn the secrets of these animals.

All aboard Darwin’s vessel the ‘ Beagle’ and let’s travel with him. We discover the meaning of the word ‘ Evolution’.

MADAGASCAR AN ISLAND TO BE DISCOVERED

With the help of Enore, the Lemur, we discover the origins of Madagascar, which make this island a place rich in endemism. We get to understand the importance of safeguarding such a delicate and precious ecosystem.

I AM AN EXPLORER OF THE PLANT AND ANIMAL WORLD

Guided by a nature expert, we learn to understand and interpret the mysteries of nature. With simple instruments, a notepad and pencil, a ruler and a compass we adventure among animals from four Continents to discover their aspects and behaviour.

Human communication has used words for millions of years, but all animals communicate by using cries, sounds and body language. With the help of an expert, the children can hear different sounds made by animals and understand their meanings.

All living beings are what they eat. Herbivores, Carnivores and Omnivores. From the food they eat we try to see which dentures animals use for chewing. Which eat grass and Which eat meat? The story of what is eaten, starting from the mouth and ending….

By observing animal samples (fur, skulls, animal droppings etc..) the trail teaches about animals from different Continents. As young investigators, the children get to discover the mysteries of nature.
